Save the Boundary Waters

This infographic was created as student work for my Digital Content Production for Brand Communications class. The organization that I am promoting is Save the Boundary Waters, a nonprofit supported by community members across the country and businesses in the region.

The Boundary Waters is a remote wilderness area and has been loved by generations. It’s a popular destination year-round for paddling across lakes in the summer and skiing in the winter. The Boundary Waters is the most visited wilderness area in the US. And it’s also been the most protected throughout history. Until now. There has been a push over the years to mine copper-nickel near the pristine waters. Now, that push is closer to becoming a reality. HJ Res 140 will be voted on by the Senate soon, and if approved, the 20-year mining ban would be overturned. Copper mining has a history of environmental pollution. We must take action.
