Swimwear That Stands Out
As someone who loves a long day at the beach and is passionate about sustainability, I want to make conscious choices about where my money is going. The truth is, fast fashion is killing our environment and our society. According to an article by Earth.org, 85% of all textiles end up in landfills. Factory workers around the world are paid extremely low wages, and the long labor is done in dangerous conditions. All for what? For people to go crazy about the lastest trends and then not even a year later toss them away? There needs to be a better solution.

Dippin’ Daisy’s was founded in 2015 by Elaine Tran, who continued her mother’s dream after she passed away. The company’s four core values since the beginning have been female empowerment, size inclusivity, sustainability, and affordable luxury. I’ve always been interested in sustainable swimwear brands and I was drawn to Dippin’ Daisy’s for two elements that make them stand out. For one, most sustainable swimwear brands only include more cheeky options, but Dippin’ Daisy’s offers a wide variety from cheeky to full coverage, to even one pieces. They also highlight a size-inclusive line, featuring sizes from XS all the way to 3X.
Dippin’ Daisy’s is committed to sustainability and ethical practices. All of their swimwear is made with reycled fabrics, the bra inserts are created with recycled foam, and the elastic in suits is made from organic and natural rubber trees. Additionally, instead of producing large quantities of swimsuits, they only produce what they need, effectively reducing the likelihood of it ending up in a landfill. Dippin’ Daisy’s is also committed to reducing waste at their own factories by repurposing excess materials into insulation. Such an interesting way to reduce waste!
All of their suits are hand-sewn in family-owned factories in Los Angeles and Vietnam, and then later inspected. Dippin Daisy’s makes sure that they’re factory workers are treated well, with no dangerous machinery to operate.
Their swimwear is also very cute! Lots of fun designs and colors, and many categories to choose from. There’s something for everyone and every personality! But don’t just take it from me, here’s real feedback from women just like you and me.
